Awesome addition to the curriculum, and could not have chosen better teachers!
Now, if we could just see an Anatomy class added to the high school curriculum it would be great!
An anatomy class would be awesome. I also think that more foreign language courses in other prominent languages would be an excellent addition to Acellus, along with a more in-depth Epic Moments in World History course. I love Todd Edmond as a teacher, he has a great way of conveying information, but it would be nice if he had some courses where he provided a lot more information. Also, maybe some political courses as well, to back up US Government and Civics, like really in-depth courses on American Diplomacy and Foreign Policy. (I love reading books about this, like Condoleezza Rice’s autobiographies and memoirs of the Bush Foreign Policy)
That would be fun! I believe that any kind of Social Studies course, regardless of what it covers, is fun. Those extra government classes would also provide more of an academic background and push, as well.
Thank you for making this an optional course, we believe in keeping school and faith separate.
In what grade may one take this class?
It’s typically taken during high school.
Amber, something to think about; American values were started with the “founding fathers” who didn’t want a single king or government dictating everything. American values are free people who setup a limited government where we the people choose what we want, not a dictator, tyrant or any singular form. They also brought christian values which stated that all men (and women) are created equal and that there are basic human rights that cannot be denied. While optional, my opinion is we all need to know how and why our country was formed and we must maintain our freedom that early Americans set out to keep.
Thank you for this course! As we lead our children to be good citizens of our community, it is incredibly important to instill traditional American values.
We love the elementary art class. We would love to see a drawing class perhaps at the middle school level.
Great idea, Shannon! Thank you for sharing.
What grade is this class available?
This course is typically taken at the high school level (9-12).
How can middle schoolers enroll in this class?
